The Big Experiment

System Test – LinkedIn Content Experiment

This post is part of a controlled test of my content system. I’ll be reposting this topic in multiple variations to measure what actually works on LinkedIn, rather than guessing.

Here is what I’m testing:

1. Structure
– Short vs. long form posts
– Clear sections vs. narrative style

2. Hooks and positioning
– Direct, data-driven openings
– Question-led openings

3. Calls to action
– Asking for comments vs. reactions vs. shares

4. Hashtags and discoverability
– Narrow, niche tags vs. broader, popular tags

Why run this as an experiment?
According to LinkedIn’s own guidance in its Content Marketing report, consistent testing and iteration—especially around format and engagement prompts—is one of the key drivers of better reach and interaction for professionals and brands.

As a business owner, I see this as no different from A/B testing on landing pages or email campaigns. LinkedIn posts should be treated as testable assets, not one-off shots in the dark.

Over the next rounds, I’ll keep the core message similar while adjusting only a few variables each time. The goal: learn what actually resonates, then systematize it.

What would be most useful for you to see from these experiments—breakdowns of results, posting frameworks, or templates?

Share your thoughts in the comments so I can tailor the next test posts.
